My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am raising money for Brake: The Road Safety Charity http://www.brake.org.uk/ who raise money and awareness to stop death on the roads.
In 2005 my Mom was tragically killed in a hit & run incident in Birmingham, the person who killed her got 5 years in Jail and was out in 3. He didn't have a license as he had previously been banned from driving. As well as changing my families life by taking someone from us who meant so much, it also highlighted the fact of how much this goes on and how badly this kind of incident effects the families and friends involved. In the same month my Mom was killed a 2 year old girl was killed in Birmingham, again in a Hit and Run incident and again by a driver with no license.
I am raising money by completing a number of Triathlons, all of varying length throughout the year, so you can sponsor me whenever I have done an event. I understand that it is such a struggle nowadays with money and the recession etc but any donation would be greatly appreicated. The charity is something that is very close to my heart so I am aiming to raise as much as possible.

Brake is a road safety charity that works to stop death and injury on roads and to support people who have been bereaved or injured by a road crash. Brake runs Road Safety Week, conducts research, educates all kinds of road users and generally shouts about the importance of road safety to all.
