Mountbatten is the Isle of Wight's only hospice and is known for innovation across the UK and beyond. We provide expert medical, nursing and domiciliary end of life care and bereavement support to people in their own homes, including care homes, in our Newport building and in the local hospital.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are 5 friends (Matt Charman, Dave Taylor, Brian McCarthy, Matt Smith and Lawrence Smith) and our mission is to run Wight Across.

The route is from West Cowes to Niton - North to South across the Isle of Wight. It is approximately 17 miles, with a few big hills, finishing at CastleHaven beach in Niton. We are running on Sat April 2nd.

We are running for 2 charities - both of which have had a profound impact on our friends and families.

Charity 1: Earl Mountbatten Hospice. Provides hospice care to patients with life-limiting conditions and their families on the Isle of Wight. Donate on this page.

Charity 2: Ronald McDonald House - to donate click here. Provides free accommodation for families of patients in hospitals and hospices.

Its going to be a tough run, but if we can raise 5k for the charities above, it will be worth the pain!

Thank you for your kind donation.
