Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This summer I am doing four extreme endurance events:

16th June - The Yorkshire 3 Peaks - 26 mile walk - COMPLETE - 7 hours 15 minutes

30th June/ 1st July - I will cycle SOLO for 24 hours at M&S Bike 400 COMPLETE - 318 miles in 24 hours

22nd July - Ironman UK - 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run

22nd September - The Brutal - distances as above with a marathon up Snowdon - described as one of the hardest iron distance races in the world!

Why? To raise funds for Breakthrough and Rotary. This year my family has been personally impacted by breast cancer - raising funds to continue Breakthrough's fight against the disease has great personal significance.

Last year I did 3 events - the Five Peaks, Ironman UK and Challenge Henley. This year, I've made it harder to try and entice a few more coppers from your pockets.

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks is a tough 12 hour walk of 26 miles over three of Yorkshire's highest points.

Two weeks later I will be on the start line with hundreds of colleagues from M&S - I will be riding solo for 24 hours trying to cycle around 300 miles.

After a break of 3 weeks Ironman UK will provide a 2.4 mile swim, 112 miles on the bike and a marathon.

Finally, in September, I will line up for The Brutal. Described as one of the toughest Iron distance races in the world, there is a 2,4 mile swim to start. The bike ride is 112 miles through the steep roads of Snowdonia. Off the bike and the challenge really starts - a marathon that takes in an ascent and then descent of Snowdon.

Hopefully you will agree this is worth a couple of quid!

I have raced for Rotary for a couple of years now. They channel 50% of what I raise to Breakthrough. The other 50% they use to fund their fantastic work across the UK for a wide range of great causes.
