It rescues abandoned and neglected Rottweilers and helps those who are unwanted. It provides all necessary care, treatment and rehabilitation and finds suitable homes who will adopt them and give them the second chance they so deserve. In 2008 it found new homes for 120 Rottweilers. Please give your support for the most special of breeds - The Rottweiler.

Story

Hi

My name is Matt and I am a 27 year old lad from Chester. I decided earlier this year that I wanted to get out of the 9 to 5 lifestyle where we do the same thing and see the same people everyday. I made the decision to relocate to Rome and thought it would be a fantastic idea to walk there with my dog and raise money for charity at the same time!I am currently trying to sell my house and hope to set off towards the end of August but possibly some time in September. I will be raising money for 4 charities - Rottweiler Welfare Association, Help For Heroes, Medecins Sans Frontieres and The British Red Cross, who are forwarding the money onto the Abruzzo appeal for L'Aquila earthquake.I would really appreciate it if you could provide as much support as possible in this and give as much as you can - any donations are gratefully received no matter how small or large. I have set myself a target of £100k across the 4 charities.I have set up a blog to keep people up to date with, firstly, my preparations and then the story of my journey. The blog can be found here:www.roamintoromewithroman.blogspot.comAdditionally, I have set up a Facebook group to try and raise interest in what I am doing around the world. This group can be found here:http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=86730604426&ref=tsIf you are not already a member of this group I would really appreciate it if you would join this group and invite all of your friends - the more members I have in this group the higher the publicity and, hopefully, the more donations!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Help for Heroes gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Wish me luck - I think I'm going to need it!!

ThanksMatt
