Richmond 10K and HellRunner Hell down south 2009 · 8 November 2009

Age UK London helps London to love later life by campaigning for older Londoners, working on their behalf, and championing their cause. We work with London borough Age UKs and over five hundred older people's organisations across the capital.

Story

In june I had a bit of road to Damascus moment  - what if the secret to a happy life doesn't reside uniquely in a cocktail shaker but involves excercise and stuff like that? No I'm not convinced either but I started running anyway.

Did my first competitive run since the egg and spoon race (Fairlie primary school 1979) at the Henley Half Marathon at the weekend. The fresh air and camraderie were great. Think I might be a bit hooked now.

Being a huge fan of drinking e-coli straight up, I've now entered this:

and will be warming up with this

If you find this story inspiring or just feel a bit sorry for me and want to give me a wee "there, there son" pat on the head, you could do it in the form of a small donation into this virtual bucket.

Age Concern London will use it very wisely.

Thanks very much,

Matt.
