Story
My name is Matt Hopkins and I am an instructor at the Lake District Calvert Trust. 4 years ago I had a personal climbing accident braking my back and pelvis and it has been a long road to recovery since then. On 29 June I am cycling the sea to sea in a day – the hard way! Starting at Seascale on the Cumbrian coast across to Whitby in the North East, a total of 150 miles and 4500m of ascent via Hard Knott and Wrynose passes in the Lake District, so not an easy feat. I feel I am in a position to challenge myself and raise money for a worthwhile cause which will help others to challenge themselves and their disability. The Lake District Calvert Trust is an outdoor centre for people with disabilities where we Challenge Disability through Outdoor Adventure. Please support me however you can, thank you.
