Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in the Royal British Legion Riders 1000 mile event on Saturday 18 June 2011. I hope to ride 1000 miles in 24 hours on a motorbike starting and finishing at Squires Cafe at Sherburn-in-Elmet (just North of Leeds)

If you think that sounds impossible then please sponsor me. If you think it sounds easy then I should just mention that I will be attempting to do it on a Honda C90 with just 85cc and a top speed of 48mph. Hopefully that will have now got your interest, so please sponsor me.

If that still isn't enough for you then I will mention that I am raising money for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. I am lucky enough to be a caseworker for the Legion, so I go to visit clients who have asked for assistance. This can be help to send a child on a school trip or a young family away for a holiday to Haven Holiday Parks. It may be a person who needs a new cooker or washing machine to someone who needs a whole house furnishing. We also assist clients with debt management and mobility support.

Hopefully you will now wish to support me in raising money for this wonderful cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. THANK YOU
