<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 140%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; background: white; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="line-height: 140%; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: #1c1c1c; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">On the weekend of 3rd-4th December <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I will be part of a group of CHIVA (Childrens HIV Association) volunteers and staff who will collectively be cycling the 1407km from Land's End to John O Groats (albeit in the comfort of a London gym), to raise money for CHIVA's Summer Camp 2012.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 140%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; background: white; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="line-height: 140%; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: #1c1c1c; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"> CHIVA held its first summer camp in 2010 and offer young people living with HIV in the UK a fantastic opportunity to meet others in a similar situation to gain peer support to reduce the isolation and stigma that they face. The summer camp consists of a series of workshops and activities and offers a life changing experience to help young people cope with their anxieties around discrimination, prejudice, stigma and adherence to medication in a safe environment. At summer camp 2011, it was great to see so many young people return from the previous year having grown in confidence, self-esteem and acceptance of their HIV status.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
