Dan's Fund For Burns is a registered adult burns charity, set up after the terror attack in Bali in October 2002. The fund aims to help burn survivors through practical, financial and emotional support. The charity also supports NHS burn centres and units across the UK with equipment and training.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Please note that every pound will be used to it's best effect as Dan’s Fund for Burns minimises it's expenditure on unnecessary marketing and promotion unlike other charities we know so rest assured your money will go directly to helping UK based burns victims.

Hopefully I’ll see you on the day shouting ‘go faster’ or something else?!?

Many thanks in advance for your help and support.

Matt

PS: as a quick reminder -

Why this charity? Polly started the charity after being caught up in the Bali bombing and experiencing the lack of support given to burns patients. She was lucky to survive, but her husband (of only one year) and my friend Dan died in the bombing, hence the charity ‘Dans Fund for Burns’.

Why run a marathon?

Other than a little bit of madness, I’ve had the marathon as my focus to truly return to running after a long journey back from injury (broke my patella in 2006).
