HHA THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE · 16 September 2017 to 17 September 2017 ·

HHA has been working in the developing world since 2006. Originally in Haiti, but now in Uganda and South Sudan. We focus on the most vulnerable people tackling poverty through holistic disability care, and by improving community support and facility-based care for mothers and babies.

Story

Having survived clambering up and down Mt. Kinabalu (4095m) last year, we thought it would be nice not to do anything so strenuous again. Then one of our friends asked if we'd like to do the 3 peaks challenge as a team to help raise money for Hope Health Action (previously Haiti Hospital Appeal). So, needing another project to complain about, we signed up.

Hope Health Action (HHA) is a great charity that helps to provide health care to those who need it most, but have no access to it. They have done amazing work in Haiti with both maternity and children's services, and are now expanding their work into South Sudan.

The 3 peaks challenge involves climbing the 3 tallest peaks in the UK within 24hrs - this will start with Ben Nevis (Scotland, 1345m), followed by Scafell Pike (England, 978m) and finishing with Snowdon (Wales, 1085m). Total distance will be around 20 - 25 miles. And we have until September 16th to train.

This is a great opportunity to benefit HHA, and engage in a bit of schadenfreude at our expense. Please donate generously whilst enjoying our suffering!
