My story
Hi,
Thanks for visiting my page. The charities that I am running for are fantastic causes that will lead to great things in the future. The more moeny they receive, the quicker they can get to these great things so dig deep and sponsor me as much as you can.
I am running the Marathon as part of the Challenge Henley Iron Man competition, along with Spencer Kemsley, who is cycling 180km and Andrew Cardy who is swimming 3.8km.
I am currently following a training programme I downloaded from the Internet, but because this is my first Marathon, I don't know how ready this will make me. I am trying my hardest, sometimes getting up at 6am to run and doing long distances after work (last Saturday I did 2 hours after work).
I predominantly train around the Hurst and Twyford areas but on my longer runs can be seen in Reading, Wokingham, Winnersh, Woodley and Bracknell. If you see me going along please wave or shout encouragement, or better still, pass me some water!
Feel free to chat to me about my training, I'd love to talk. I am usually found in the Farm Shop.
This is a really great cause that I am running for, so please contribute as hard as I am training because it is definitely worthwhile.

We bring people with Parkinson’s, their carers and families together via our network of local groups, our website and free confidential helpline. Specialist nurses, our supporters and staff provide information and training on every aspect of Parkinson’s. As the UK’s Parkinson’s support and research charity we’re leading the work to find a cure, and we’re closer than ever. We also campaign to change attitudes and demand better services.
