Royal Parks Half Marathon 2009 · 11 October 2009 ·

Losing your sight can be really frightening. Berkshire Vision provide vital emotional and practical support, and adapted sports and activities to over 1500 blind and visually impaired children and adults in Berkshire. We help reduce loneliness and isolation and build confidence and independence.

Story

I'm running my first half marathon to riase money for Berkshire County Blind Society, a local charity that supports over 2,000 blind and partially sighted people in Berkshire, inlcuding over 100 children. The marathon is 13 miles long which is more than i have ever run! Should be a challenge this October! Which is just as well, as I can only run 8 miles without collapsing so far; I need all the inspiration I can get!   It would be great if you would sponsor me!! I've seen the amazing work BCBS do and how they make a difference to people's lives.   Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
