We are climbing Kilimanjaro in January 2011 to raise money for Velindre Cancer Centre.

There are more than 200 types of cancer with different causes, symtoms and treatments. In total there are approximately 293,600 cases of cancer diagnosed each year in the UK and more than 1 in 3 people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime. With statistics like this there is no surprise that nearly everyone is affected by cancer at some point in their lives, wether it be through self illness, family or friends.

Leg sadly lost his mother to cancer on oct 3rd 2009 and was overwhelmed by the care and support Velindre provided his mother throughout her illness. Matthew has a number of family members who have battled cancer in the past. These circumstances has encouraged them both to raise money for this particular charity.
