Story

Well, with only 4 weeks to go, we are training like crazy !! Not sure what I let myself in for, but its all in the name of love ! We are riding from Scotland to Shildon thats around 150miles over the 3 days of the May bank holiday 28th, 29th and 30th. Thats 50miles a day !! It's Matt's Birthday on the 29th too, so I guess I owe him a beer at the end of this !

So why are we doing this? ( I do keep asking myself)

It is in support of the charity: The Education Centre for Children with Down Syndrome. Prentice, my brother, was born in 2005, he changed my world for the better. He has Down Syndrome and through the charity has learnt to sign using makaton sign language, develop his communication skills and enter mainstream education. Making great friends along the way. Your support will allow the charity to make a difference to the children and their families.

Prentice, you have taught me to speak with my hands, to observe the world form a different slower yet more exciting perspective. You have taught me that beautiful comes in many different forms. You have challenged my ideas on what is "normal". Without you in my life I would have never have had this opportunity to make a difference !

Right better get back on my bike !

Thank you for your support.
