As some of you might be aware my dad died of pancreatic cancer last year aged 75.

I am not necessarily running the marathon in his memory but more to raise money for Havens Hospices who looked after him so well in the latter stages.

My dad was a very fit and active man and last ran the London Marathon when he was 70, coincidentally to raise money for Havens. Although hindsight is a wonderful thing I wish I had taken the time six years ago to have run this race with him.
