UPDATE 26th October

Well, we made it, with a time of 1hr 46min we were tired but pleased with our achievement and very grateful to all who sponsored us. Donations are still coming in, who knows, perhaps I'll make 150% of target? Thank you very much for your support.

Earlier this year my first friend in this world was taken from it far too soon, leaving his loving family and so many friends  stunned, wondering how this could happen to such a fit man and how unfair such a good man's time should be cut short.

Paul was a terrific sportsman, a great all rounder who represented his county in numerous sports, and his University Cambridge in rugby at full back in the 1987 Varsity Match.

The following links give some insight to those who didn't know him.

I'm running a half marathon to raise some money to help forward the work he started; following my brother Tim's excellent performance in the Great North Run failure is not an option & I have a time of 1hr 53mins to beat!

Thank you in advance for your support, I know the money will be put to good use.

Paul remains an inspiration to me.

Many thanks to team mate/coach Richard (co-incidentally also a full back) for giving me the training plan and support to keep me "on track"!
