We help people with ME/CFS to understand and survive their illness

Story

our story begins with a stroll down the river trent one evening last november. We were chatting away and the thought came to us to achieve something next year (2014).  Pat ran the robin hood half marathon in 2012 and ever since wanted to do it again but with a real cause and a great mate to do it with! So after the suggestion came about we both decided that in 2014 we would run the robin hood half marathon for the ME association.

We decided to support this charity because ME has affected our lives. Pat suffered with the illness for several years in an earlier part of his life but has thankfully since got better. Foggs' Mother  who has also suffered with ME has had support from various groups including the ME association. These are just a few of the reasons why we would like to support this charity.

Right its time. At the end of this month the half marathon is happening and i will be crossing that finish line no matter what. Any support would be amazing. Its gonna be tough, especially with loosing my running partner (Pat).  Wish me luck!!!!!!!

The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.
