Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you know my eldest son suffers from a rare illness called Scleroderma and I am attempting to run the 2012 London Marathon to raise money for The Scleroderma Society.
Scleroderma is an umbrella term for a number of conditions, affecting either the skin or the internal organs, or both.
Scleroderma can affect the skin on its own or it can affect the internal organs such as the heart, lungs kidneys and gut. It is a rare condition with just about 7,000 suffering with the condition in the UK.
There is no cure at present ,but there are treatments which can help some of the problems. You can find out more information if you want to at The Scleroderma Society.
It is for these reasons I have decided to run for the charity so please donate whatever you can to support the charity.
I will be updating facebook on a regular basis with my training progress and will email updates from time to time.
Many thanks for looking at my page
Matt
