Ok, tests have come back from the Lab. The results say that I am completely mad and have a screw lose.
Who in their right mind would do a Olympic size triathlon. ( 1.5km swim, 40km Bike, 10km run ) When the house still needs lots of work, the wife is pregnant with our first child. No right knee and not being in the UK that much........I do!

I will be entering the Toshiba Windsor Triathlon. No other event in the world can compare with the historical backdrop of Windsor Castle, Eton College and the majestic River Thames. The river swim is followed by a bike course that takes in a number of villages around beautiful Berkshire and returns through Windsor Great Park.

Again I have teamed up with the charity VOICE.

VOICE speaks up for some of the most vulnerable children in our society.

With the support from VOICE.

  • Catherine, who has cerebral palsy, received the hoist tracking system and lowered kitchen surfaces she wanted in her flat, so that she could move around more independently and also cook for her friends.
  • Jordan, who has autism and ADHD and was not properly supported at his school, gained a place at a specialist boarding school to enable him to re-engage with schoolwork.
  • Mary, who is severely learning disabled, was removed from an abusive foster home after revealing inappropriate sexual behaviour via picture communications symbols. She did not realise she was being abused.
  • Yolanda was 16 when she contacted Voice; she was seven months pregnant and homeless, sleeping on a park bench.  She had arrived in England from Eritrea and spoke no English. Voice provided an interpreter through our helpline and funded her case ourselves until it could be established which local authority was responsible for her. Voice succeeded in getting her support from the relevant local authority; she and her baby are now in temporary supported accommodation and further arrangements are being made for her welfare.

I know times are tough, but if you could just spare a couple of £/$/ . Then this money will be working hard for kids at VOICE.

Many thanks for your support

Matt
