As most of you know, I am organising and fighting in a charity boxing night in November. I know some of you can't be there, so I'd like a bit of sponsorship from you instead - I'm really hoping for sponsorship toward the organising part of this project, not the training, I'm better with my knuckles than with my spreadsheets!!!
The night is coming together really well with over 100 tickets sold at the time of writing, so we should be on for a fun evening - culminating in 4 bouts of (very) novice boxing and some drinks and dancing.
I'm fighting for the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation. This is a wonderful cause set up by John's parents in honour of him. John was an inspirational young man who lost his life fighting with the Royal Marine Commandos in Afghanistan and the charity remembers him by helping and inspiring young, talented people to achieve their dreams in life. I cannot think of a better cause to be supporting right now with the world the way it is.
If you are coming to watch me fight - don't donate, but pass it on to all you know who cannot make it. Let's see if we can give this charity something worth shouting about, as well as a squashed nose for me!!!
Thanks
Marvellous Matthew - The Haddington Hammer!
