CLDF and the British Liver Trust have merged - we are the only UK charity for all liver conditions. We support parents, children, young people and adults affected, through tailored support and information, and we campaign for improved early detection and better treatment and care.

Story

On June the 5th my girlfriends (Carole) family is organising a charity event called MAGStock, in order to raise money specifically for research into the illness PSC and its link to Cholangiocarcinoma in memory of her mother, Margaret, who died from this in November last year, just six weeks after her initial diagnosis!

I will be doing a 50 miles cycle, around the village and surrounding countryside (including the South Downs!) where her parents have lived for a good number of years. I will participate along side many of their friends and family on the day. There are a few events taking place…a shorter cycle ride of approx 22 miles, a 10 mile run (Carole is doing this one), 5 mile walk and a children’s toddle!

I would deeply appreciate your financial support for the British Liver Trust, who is holding the money for the family until there is enough for the research. To make it a bit more of a challenge, I’ll try and get around in under 3hrs…although I keep being told how big the hills are!

In the short time I knew Margaret, I found her to be a very warm, loving and caring woman that loved her family and was loved in return by a tremendous number of people. I was lucky enough to help celebrate her 60th birthday and join her and the family for a wonderful holiday in Tuscany.

Thank you in advance of your generosity

Matt
