This year Paul Abbott and I have joined up with the KEEPTHEBEAT cycling club to ride from Seascale in Cumbria on the West coast of England to Whitby on the East coast in one day raising money for the charity KEEPTHEBEAT. This is a significant challenge of over 148 miles, 4500 metres  of climbing which most people undertake over 2-3 days.

The route takes in Hardknott and Wrynose passes, the Pennines and North York moors so will be a massive personal challenge for us. We are raising funds via our chosen charity, KEEPTHEBEAT, to help pay for a SimBaby mannequin and associated hardware for the paediatric intensive care unit at Glenfield hospital to assist with training etc. for high risk events.
