Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

To be honest, I'm probably running the Reading half marathon for me. I run so that I can eat more, and I'd probably have entered even if I'd not met Skye's family. However, I did meet them when Skye was at nursery with my son Sam. There was a little trouble over a girl (Sam had moved in on Skye's girlfriend while Skye was off travelling...) I heard the news when Skye was diagnosed with a brain tumour and didn't know how to help. Skye's parents set up Blue Skye Thinking to fund research into paediatric brain tumours so that the shocking suffering that Skye went through and the heart-rending loss that the rest of Skye's family are going through might be spared for others. I'm not running to support Blue Skye Thinking; I've paid my own entry and probably would run it anyway. However, I've given Blue Skye Thinking my money and time in the past and will continue to do so as I think it's worth while and if you do too then please do make a donation.
