I took part in the Great Manchester Run last year for the second time and I definitely suffered from ‘difficult second album’ rather than a smooth debut outing...

Firstly, it was very hot last year on run day. Well over 20 degrees, which my training had not prepared me for. I also had the added complication that for the whole day, I had something stuck in my eye! I was somehow able to complete the run without bumping into too many people!

I’m be running again for First Generation this year. As part of my role, I’ve been lucky enough to meet the First Generation students and see first-hand the impact that the scheme has.
