Trying something new this year - instead of just one event, i'll do lots!

Events entered so far are -

Sunday 31 March - The Helmsley 10k challenge is a multi-terrain race partly on road, partly on forestry track, footpaths and fields. The first 300 finishers are guaranteed a mug and an Easter egg, so that's the incentive for a good time. Annie will be running in the Children’s race.

 

Saturday 4 May - Endurancelife North Yorks Moors Marathon. A new race this year, starting and finishing at Ravenscar. Graded as Strenuous, route to be confirmed.

 

Saturday 29 June - A Sterne Encounter. Billed as “About 23 ½ miles, A great rural adventure on the beautiful Howardian Hills”. Starts and finishes at Ampleforth.

 

Saturday 27 July – The Rock & Rowell. The first time this event has been run, 26 miles with 3000ft of ascent  (and presumably descent) around Nidderdale.

 

Sunday 20 October – Jane Tomlinson York Marathon. Another new event. Last time I ran a road marathon was 1992!

 

December (Date TBC) – Rudolph’s Romp, Brantingham. 24 miles over the Wolds. Did this last year in 4hrs 59 minutes, a really good event with excellent food at the check points.
