Story
Hi guys, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This September I will be participating in a fundraising challenge, trekking 25 miles along Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland National Park. I will be fundraising for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, and my objective is to raise enough funds for the charity to hit my target of £550.
Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks the upper and lower motor neurones. This leads to weakness and wasting of muscles, causing increasing loss of mobility in the limbs, and difficulties with speech, swallowing and breathing. MND is a terminal disease for which there is currently no cure.
The Motor Neurone Disease Association has a vision for a world free of MND and they make vital contributions to medical research as well as care and support for those suffering from MND and their families.
Earlier this year I lost a close family relative to this horrible disease, so any contribution you could make to this charity would be really, really appreciated.
