Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are Ian, Matty and Paul and are all keen squash players, who play at the David Lloyd club Cardiff. We hatched an idea to raise some funds for "Latch" a local organisation, supporting children with Cancer and Leukemia.

As a challenge we will be attempting to break one Guinness World Record and set a new World Record, never before attemted.

Matty and Paul will be attempting to break the record for the longest squash singles marathon, currently 26 hours 30 minuets, with a target of 28 hours court time.

At the same time Ian will be attempting to set a World Record first, for playing the most consecutive opponents. He plans to match Matty and Paul minute for minute, with a target of 60/70 opponents.

I am sure you will agree neither of these attempts is going to be easy.

We have been training hard, with early morning starts at the gym and long sessions on the court to get ourselves acoustomed to the time we will actually be on court.

The event is scheduled to start at 10:00am on Saturday May 7th 2011 at the David Lloyd Club, concluding at 6:00pm on the 8th.Jamie Roberts and Paul Tito will be warming us up from 9:00am on the saturday.

Latch will without doubt appreciate all and every donation big or small to aid this very worthwhile cause. Thanks to all of you who have helped us exceed our target with a very big thank you to the Cardiff Round Table who have donated a massive £1,000 and to Asfield in2Focus who donated £500!!!!

Many thanks to the event sponsors, Mooneerams personal injury Solicitors, SG Mercedes Cardiff, Rob Watkins Photography, The Property Megastore, Cardiff Cosmetic Clinic, Recovery and Beyond physiotherapy, Ascension signs & Graphics, Moutain Fuel, FFAT Media, The Juboraj group, Prince sports and  YC sports who have all assisted with the funding and staging of the event. Thanks also to David Lloyds for allowing us to stage the event at the club and in particular to to Liam Fisher for coordinating the event with us.

Everyone is welcome to support the event thoughout the normal opening hours of the club so come along and join in the fun. There is an after show party starting shortly after the attempts are completed, on the sunday night, music, buffet and raffel and a few well earned beers, all are welcome to join us and the Lord Mayor of Cardiff to celebrate.
