Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2008 I volunteered on a school building project in Nepal, the friendly people, the places and the local communities made a lasting impression on me. Now in 2010 I have the chance to go back and lead a Computer Aid Charity Cycle Challenge Team that will be raising funds for disadvantaged children and communities in Nepal.
Computer Aid International is a registered charity that aims to reduce poverty through practical IT solutions. We take in donations of computers, laptops and monitors which are refurbished and distributed to not-for-profit organisatuions in the developing world. We recently sent over 250 PCs to Nepal and more funds will enable us to send more much needed IT equipment.
I have already raised funds for a London to Paris Cycle Challenge and for those of you returning for a second time I really appreciate your help and thoughtfulness.
My training and lycra wearing will continue throughout the summer as Nepal will involve over 200 miles of mainly off track cycling for 8 days and I definitely need to be fit for this challenge!
Any donation is much appreciated and your money is genuinely helping disadvantage children and communities have the chance of a better life through positive and sustainable change.
