Hey Guys
Thanks for taking the time to stop by this page. I've
decided I want to go for a jog around Birmingham on the 24th of
October, and I'm going to ask you to part with your money in return.
Queenscourt
Hospice is in Southport, and provides care and treatment to local
people who are at an advanced stages of incurable illnesses, the most
common being cancer. The hospice provides exceptional levels of care
for its patients, and I can't put into words how important the work
that they do there is for those who receive treatment there and the
families of those patients.
In order to carry on providing the
fantastic levels of care that they do at Queenscourt, and keep up their
amazing work, the hospice relies heavily on voluntary donations. As you
can probably guess, running s Hospice isn't cheap, and Queenscourt
costs over £2million a year to run. And since it receives only around a
third of this from the NHS, it can only do the amazing things that it
does with the help of around £1.4 million-ish through voluntary
contributions every year.
That's where you guys come in. I know that
since most of the people reading this page are students, you probably
don't have an awful lot of spare money. That said, I'm sure you can
spare a couple of pounds - or more, more would be great too - towards
this great cause. I've invited 237 of you from facebook, and if you can
each spare at least £2 then we'll have raised a phenomenal amount of
money. If you can give even more than that, or spread the word and
invite others to join, then the sky's the limit. You'd be helping to
continue and further the work provided by those people at Queenscourt
doing all that they can to ensure that the patients they treat are
allowed to live their final days with as much comfort and dignity as is
possible.
Again, thanks for taking the time to read this page.
