Hi everyone.

I'm raising money for the The Childrens Heart Appeal - Birmingham Childrens Hospital.

Here's a bit more information about the appeal:

Almost one in every hundred children is born with a heart problem and congenital heart defects are the most common of all life threatening abnormalities.

As Birmingham Children's Hospital has one of the busiest Children's Heart Centres in the UK and sees over 10,000 children a year you would be helping towards helping thousands of children.

The money raised would specifically be going to help fund a new state of the art 'hybrid' cardiac theatre, the first of it's kind at a UK children's hospital.  This would enable the hospital to perform surgical procedures and keyhole techniques simultaneously, it will also reduce the number of operations that children may need - and their lenghts of stay in hospital.
