Story
Hello,
This year, the first "why-am-I-doing-this-to-myself" event is the Great West Run. I am raising money for Dorothy House Hospice, an organisation that offers physical, psychological, social and spiritual care to patients and their families facing life threatening illness, death or bereavement. They really do some absolutely amazing work. How do I know this?
My uncle is currently battling with prostate cancer. Not once have I seen him be down-heartened but with such a serious illness, it takes its toll on the patient and the friends and family around them. Dorothy House supports the patient and the family, and have become like family to Rog and Christine, always on call and always ready to help however they can.
So this year, all the events I do will be raising money for Dorothy House, to help them keep doing what they do. I will be running 13 miles through Exeter and trying to beat my time last year of 1hr 45mins exactly.
If you could spare a few pence, a pound or even a little bit more, I would be forever grateful.
Nothing more to say really, except thank you.
