Hi everyone,
As you can see from the photo, my legs have not got much longer since I was a little girl... Despite this I am running the Silverstone half marathon on 14 March - but not in red wellies!
I am running in suport of Auditory VerbalUK, a relatively small charity that makes a BIG difference.
AVUK provide therapy for very young children and babies who were born or have become deaf through illness, with the aim of bringing their speech and listening skills up to the standard of a child who has been able to hear all their life. By enabling them to start school on a par with their peers, these children will have full access to the curriculum and be able to play and learn as any other child would - something which almost all of us have taken for granted.
