On a cold morning in April, I foolishly agreed to drag myself through all 20 kilometres of the Great North Run. Now suddenly there's just a couple of weeks to go, and it's a much more real prospect than it seemed then. I'm told it's quite hilly.

I'll be raising money for Alzheimer's Society; please donate generously, and enjoy the thought of me working up some serious blisters to earn your money.
