Story
We are raising funds to improve the health of the community served by Mbarara Hospital in Uganda.
Mbarara Hospital is a teaching hospital in South West Uganda serving about 2 million people where clinical staff care for patients and teach students from the neighbouring University. The Mbarara Link Programme was created to support healthcare in Uganda by linking UBHT staff with their counterparts in Mbarara Hospital.
The aim of the link is to increase the skills of staff and help train new staff in Mbarara Hospital, Uganda. In this way we will help the local community through improving the skills of the people who look after them.
Our staff give their time voluntarily to plan the link initiatives, to travel to Uganda and support staff in Mbarara. Funds are needed to cover travel to or from Uganda and any training materials or equipment needed.
