Story
We did it! 32 miles, more hills than we cared to count, an awful lot of aches but just the one blister. Spirits were high as the Media Matters team set out from Osmotherley at 9.30am on Saturday to tackle the Hambleton Hobble in the North Yorkshire moors. The spectacular views over the Vale of York kept us going as we strode out over the top of Black Hambleton. By Saturday evening we were more than ready for the scrumped potatoes, burgers and hot dogs rustled up on the barbecue. Then came a night under canvas - an experience most of us are trying hard to forget. Sunday was a tough day. For Fen dwellers, the hills proved tough... but we kept going. And at 6pm we arrived, triumphant, back where we started.
The best part, of course, is the fact that we've raised so much money for the Peterborough Business Support Group of the NSPCC which helps vulnerable youngsters in the Greater Peterborough area. It’s a great cause and it's not too late to throw a few extra pounds in the pot.
