Nepal First Hand Experience and Everest Base Camp Trek

Nepal First Hand Experience 2017 · 20 October 2017 to 29 October 2017 ·
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 27th October 2017 I, along with other volunteers from ActionAid Guernsey Support Group, will be travelling to Nepal to help rebuild a classroom block at Bani Bilas school that was deemed unsafe after the 2015 Earthquakes. I will be working on site alongside local builders digging foundations, mixing cement, metalwork, laying bricks and much more!
I have decided to join this trip because I remember watching the news the day these devastating earthquakes hit Nepal and I want to be part of a team that can help even just a little to help get these children into a safe learning environment. Over 7,500 schools (90% of Nepals schools) were affected by these earthquakes leaving millions of children without a safe place to learn. That statistic is staggering and really hits home. I will be self funding this trip and your money will go towards the build and any donation no matter how small will be very much appreciated!
After the week at the school I will also be taking part in a trek to Everest Base Camp which will both be mentally and physically challenging but a challenge I am so excited for!
I will keep everyone updated with my fundraising progress, and make sure you like the ActionAid Guernsey Support Group Facebook page to keep up to date with the whole teams fundraising events!
Thanks again for taking the time to visit my page.
