We’re Mind, the mental health charity, working across England & Wales. We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support & advice, & fight your corner. Thanks for fundraising for national Mind.

Story

On the 3rd of September 2019 I tackled the most physically challenging thing I have ever done - climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa and the world’s highest freestanding mountain. I decided to climb the 5895 metre high mountain in aid of the amazing mental health charity, Mind.

Mental health is something that is often ignored, a subject that has a stigma attached to it and an illness that people often feel ashamed of and unable to talk about.  After battling with my own mental health, I decided I wanted to help support others and this is why I decided to step so much out of my comfort zone.

Did you know...?

-  Every year 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem.

-  Around 75% of young people battling with mental health issues don’t get the help and support they need.

-  Mental health issues are the biggest cause of death in men and women aged 20-34.

The aim is to raise awareness of mental health issues with the help of the charity Mind, as well as to help reduce these shocking statistics. The money donated could make a huge difference - only £8 funds Mind's info line, giving that person who needs help someone they can talk to, possibly a phone call that could save their life.

Even if you can’t donate yourself, please share this post to raise awareness and help give people the support they need.
