Belfast City Marathon · 6 May 2013 ·

At PeacePlayers International - Northern Ireland we use sport - in particular the game of basketball - to build bridges between children and young adults who live in divided communities. Our programmes are based on the belief that children who play together can learn to live together.

Story

I will be running Stage C of the marathon, 7.1 miles (uphill) from the Crumlim Rd - Oldpark - Antrim Rd to Gideon's Green. I've only ever run 5K's so I'm training up on the streets of Belfast to multiply that by 2!

PeacePlayers International - Northern Ireland believes that bringing young people together through sport can be a tool for bridging divides, changing perceptions and developing leaders. As a staff team entered in the Belfast City Marathon we would like to raise funds to support our programmes across the city and invest in the young champions of peace that continue to inspire us each day!

Thanks for helping us meet our goal to fundraise as a team, all proceeds will go to our nationally registered charity, PeacePlayers International - Northern Ireland.
