This years run is dedicated to the memory of Hovis (Dave Furness), who tragically died in a motorbike accident last year. Dave (Banana man in poster) was a very enthusiastic supporter of the fun run and personally raised a huge amount of money for Velindre hospital. Entry this year is £10 per adult (kids under 12 enter free). We do also ask participants to try and raise money for Velindre through sponsorship, but this is optional.
There will be two routes this year, a 4.5 mile (approx) route for the more serious runner and a 2.5 mile (approx) route for walkers and runners who'd like to take it easy. Both routes start at the Cwrt Rawlin pub Caerphilly at 11am and finish at Caerphilly RFC. There will be a medal for everyone who takes part and a trophy for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed runners plus a prize for best fancy dress (fancy dress is very popular but optional).
