Story
Anyone who knows me, knows that most of the time I am the one that delivers the safety briefing at Wakefield Triathlon Club open water swim sessions at Pugneys lake, Wakefield.
I make sure that you are in and out of the water, are safe and sound and DO NOT wear a white or silver swim cap ;)
I set a challenge at the beginning of the open water season to try and raise £500 for a charity, we chose The SMA Trust as our charity to support, as one of our members lost their daughter to SMA and we wanted to do our bit to support.
I have said that if i can raise £100 i will swim a lap of Pugneys!!!
I have never ventured into the lake before, nor have i run or been on a bike. Swimming a lap of Pugneys will be like completing an IronMan for me!
Help me get to my £100 target by texting and i WILL get in that lake!!
We are also raising money by doing cake sales, collecting the change from swims and giving out fines to those members who forget to give their swim band back.
