Melanie Luxton-Brookes, Geraldine Fox and Samantha Greenwood will be riding 100km through London on the night of 25th May 2019 to help raise money for women's cancer charities.  This is a cause close to all our hearts. 

Melanie's Story

In November 2017 I was given the devastating news that I had stage 3 breast cancer.  Not many people will know this as I made the decision not to tell my children as I couldn't face breaking their little hearts.

It was a total shock to all around me and couldn't believe it was happening to me at 39!  Fit and healthy.  Nothing could have prepared me for the year ahead and what I was about to experience mentally and physically.  A year of surgeries, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.  It's been tough but I wouldn't have got through it without the support of my amazing friends and family.

To know that my life may be cut short by this terrible disease devastates me and it is only when you're faced with having everything taken away from you that you realise the beauty of life and what it brings.

I am now on the road to full recovery and wanted to give a little back as the care and support I received was amazing.
