This year (following my sweet sister's idea) I have decided not to buy Christmas cards and have instead pledged to donate the money I would have spent on them to a charity close to my heart.  The Medical Foundation for the care of victims of Torture is a charity I have supported for the past few years and feel strongly about the positive work they do.

"The Medical Foundation is the only human rights charity in the UK which works exclusively with adult and child survivors of torture and organised violence. Using a holistic approach it provides psychological and physical therapy, counselling and medical treatment to engage torture survivors in a process to assert their human dignity."

So, all I ask then is that if you would like to buy me a Christmas card, please give a thought and maybe donate to this great charity instead and not only make me happy but help the charity along in the fantastic work they do.
