Story

Not everyone knows but last May my Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer after a lump appeared practically overnight. Almost immediately we knew it had already spread to other areas and she started chemo straight away at the Marsden in Sutton. She's been on a variety of chemo-therapy drugs ever since and starts radio-therapy as well in Januray 2012. We don't know how much good any of these treatments are but the Marsden has been great at caring for Mum during this time - even with my Dad's poor wheelchair driving making it dangerous for everyone else when she's there!

I want to give something back to the hospital and staff who have been so good over the last few months - especially so they can continue their good work - so me and my walking buddy, Karin are taking part in this sponsored 14 mile walk in March. Plus Mum says it will be good exercise for us!

I'm doing this for my mum so please give generously - especially if you like the idea of me and Karin being all red-faced and stiff for days! Please pass this around to as many people as possible - and don't forget to tick the gift aid box! :-)
