10pm Finish Ben Nevis and start drive to (seven hour drive).
5am Arrive and start climbing (978m)
10am Finish Scafell Pike and start drive to (three hour drive).
1pm Arrive and start climbing (1085m)
5pm Finish , and complete challenge.
The mountains climbed, in order of elevation, are Ben Nevis in Western Scotland (1,344 m or 4,409 ft), Snowdon in North Wales (1,085 m or 3560 ft), and Scafell Pike in the Lake District (978 m or 3209 ft). In all the challenge involves some 42 km (26 miles) of ascent and descent, with total travel approaching around 600 miles, not including getting to to start with and getting home afterwards.
So please dig deep and donate now – as they say – every penny counts. Many thanks Mel :-)
CHICKS is a local charity which aims to provide as many disadvantaged children as possible with the life enhancing experience of a free respite break away in the countryside at one of their centres in Devon and Cornwall. The children that CHICKS support come from a variety of backgrounds from living in poverty, children that are being neglected or abused, either mentally, physically or sexually, children who have lost parents or even children who are full time young carers.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: CHICKS gets your money faster and gift aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. As it is the most efficient way to donate I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting cost for the CHICKS charity.
