To mark the 125th Anniversary of the Wine & Spirits Benevolent, the annual (and 8th) Mentzendorff Charity Ride will, over the 4 days between Mon 6th and Thurs 9th June, cycle from Bollinger Champagne, through Burgundy, Beaujolais and finally into the Rhone Valley, arriving at Chapoutier in Tain Hermitage. A distance of 600km at an average of 150km per day (that's 100 miles a day in old money).
The 10 riders will be aiming to set a new fund-raising record aiming for £12,500 to mark £100 for every year of the Charities life.
Alan Montague-Dennis (pictured centre above) and myself (on the left) will be representing Mentzendorff and we will be joined by 8 other cycling friends from the wine trade. We do very much hope that you'll be able to support us in this endeavour and, if you are able to, we promise that we will once again try to keep you entertained with our daily blog....... who knows we might even tweet this year!
Very many thanks for your support
Andrew
