Story

We, Arthur and Mark, are going to make our way from St.Jean Pied du Port, in France, to Santiago de Compostella in Spain. A distance of 480-ish miles. It hurts everytime we think of that number.  For those of you who have the time you can find out more by visiting the site: http://www.santiago-compostela.net/cfindexen.html.

We will start off together on 25th July and make our way as quickly as possible over the distance.  Mark intends to complete the trek in 23 days i.e. a marathon a day. Arthur intends to complete it this century (after all he is much older than Mark). We will not be wearing Hair shirts!

In order to keep you up to date with our progress we have established a blog at http://ontheroadtosantiago.blogspot.com/.  Feel free to leave your comments and messages. We will add to the blog as often as possible.

Our efforts are directed towards raising funds for Mercy Ships ,a global charity, which has been operating a fleet of hospital ships in developing nations since 1978 ( http://www.mercyships.org.uk )

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Many thanks for your support.

Mark and Arthur.
