We’re Breast Cancer Now, the charity that’s steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care. We’re here for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future. By 2050, we believe everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live – and be supported to live well. But we need to act now.

Story

Hello Everyone,

I have created this page so you can help me raise as much

money for breast cancer research as possible

 (please dig deep).

As most of you know my beautiful mum was diagnosed

with breast cancer in June last year. I wanted to do

something extremely challenging that would raise

as much money for this illness as I could. I did some

research as to what I could do that would encourage people

to donate to this cause. The 3 Peak Challenge popped

up and I thought, yep, that will be difficult. Just as I was

about to click on the page I noticed one below it: 24

PEAKS IN 24 HOURS. Obviously I thought this

was some sort of joke, but I went ahead and clicked on it anyway.

As the challenge indicates, I will be covering 24 peaks

over a distance of 52km. It is broken down into two

stages: first, hiking up 28km of very difficult terrain over

a 12 hour period. I will then get 6 hours sleep to wake

up to walking another 26km over 12 hours.

As much as I wish it was, this is not a joke and I have

signed up to complete this challenge on the 3rd October, 2015.

24 peaks in 24 hours doesn't come close to what cancer

patients have to endure, so we need to work together

to try and beat it. Please donate as little or as much as you

can, I would appreciate it so so much. I will be doing this

challenge not only for mum but for everyone that has been

a victim to this disease. Donate for the people you love and

to try and prevent it from happening to anyone else.
