My story
*UPDATE* on the 17th July I completed a 24hour silence and have managed to raise over £300 from it! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!!!!
Hello all my lovely friends,
In October 2011 I will be climbing the 19340ft Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa for my sisters charity Caring Matters Now! My sister Jodi was born with a rare skin condition called Congenital Melanocytic Naevus. For the first 15 years of her life we didn't know what the skin condition was called and we were told that Jodi was the only person that the medics had seen with such a condition. As a result of this Jodi had 30 operations during this time. At the age of 15 Jodi came into contact with a doctor at Great Ormond Street Hospital who knew what the condition was. The doctor was able to answer many questions that our family had about the condition. 13 years on Jodi has set up a support group for over 200 families who suffer from CMN in the UK and must raise £45,000 a year for medical research at GOSH. Therefore this climb is to help raise money towards the CMN medical research.
I have paid for the cost of this trip so all money raised will go directly to the CMN sponsorship funds. I have to raise £2430 by August 2011 so please please please HELP!!
