The walk has been completed!

Through torrents of rain and stinging hail,

With apocalyptic cloud and glorious sunshine.

Through freezing cold and blazing heat.

With blisters and limping, and fatigue and exhaustion.

Blether and craic with guinness and beer,

Mugs of tea with sannies and shortbread.

With pie-bald horses and lammies and moomoos,

And buzzards and ospreys, and tadpoles and flies.

With grit and with grimace,

With steel and with friendship.

These are the memories of the walk that has been!
