The Midlands Air Ambulance service covers the largest region in the UK.  They have flown over 38,000 missions since starting up in 1991, but recieve no government or lottery funding.  It costs them over £6 million per year to keep the three helicopters running.

As a biker I hope that I will never need them, but I would like to be re-assured that they are there just in case.  

You never know when someone close to you may need the air ambulance.
